Hong Kong is known the world over for its amazing shopping, and you'll find shops crammed into every space possible in the city. Hong Kong is truly a shopper's paradise, but it's easy to get overwhelmed by the sheer number of stores. Where do you begin your Hong Kong shopping adventure? Here are some of the best destinations to check out.

 1. Causeway Bay

Causeway Bay has a reputation as the premier shopping area of Hong Kong, with all available space packed with malls, small shops and neon signs. If you want that fun, crazy Hong Kong shopping experience, this is where you need to be! Causeway Bay is known for its hip fashion retailers around the Fashion Walk Area, but you'll also find the best department stores here. Be sure to head to Times Square shopping mall, which is one of the largest malls in Hong Kong.

 2. Central District

The Central district of Hong Kong is one of the most upscale shopping areas in the city and sits nestled amongst the massive skyscrapers. You'll see a lot of familiar names here, as this is where most high-end designers from New York and London operate outlets, such as the Luis Vuttion Shop and the only Harvey Nichols of Hong Kong. This district is also home to one of the city's most famous stores, Shanghai Tang, a contemporary Hong Kong fashion label.

 3. Sham Shui Po

Searching for things to do in Hong Kong that let you hit two birds with one stone? Head to this area, which is usually overlooked by tourists. You won't find the glitz of the big city here, and most owners won't speak English, but this is where you want to be if you want to get a great deal. The wholesale stores are the biggest, but you'll still find some smaller shops that sell to individuals.

 4. Hollywood Road

A visit to Hollywood Road is one of the best things to do in Hong Kong if you want to take in and buy some great Chinese contemporary art. There are tons of galleries in the area and you'll find pieces by some of the most well-known Chinese artists here. It's also one of the best places in the world to buy Chinese antiques, with over 50 outlets selling furniture, ceramics and art.

 5. The Peak

Want to know what to do in Hong Kong that combines shopping, dining and great views? Head to the Peak, where you'll ride a tram to the top and take in the most magnificent view of the city. There's a mall and some designer and boutique shops here, plus a few great Hong Kong restaurants to try, some of which also offer great views.
